There is lot of confusion in the Indian market about LAUNCH X431 PRO car scanner and X431 V car scanner. By this blog we will tell you clear difference between LAUNCH X431 PRO and X431 V diagnostic tool.
For Indian market LAUNCH company has designed LAUNCH X431 PRO not X431 V. But there are many unauthorized trader in Indian market who is promoting LAUNCH V as a global version.
Main difference between LAUNCH X431 PRO Indian Version obd scanner and LAUNCH X431 V global version obd scanner.
#1: Software:
For any scanner software is the heart of car scanner. Since LAUNCH has designed X431 PRO device specially for Indian market, software for X431 PRO is also designed for Indian market. Launch X431 Pro Car Scanner device comes with Indian TATA, Indian Maruti and Indian Mahindra which is not the case for LAUNCH X431 V, further more software update for this three brand car manufacturer is only available with X431 PRO not with X431 V.
#2: Update of LAUNCH X431 Scanner:
When any technician wants to update its X431 scanner device they need to provide serial number of that device to the LAUNCH company. Moment technician provide serial number to the LAUNCH company, LAUNCH company will come to know for which country it is made and in which country it is used. If LAUNCH company find that device manufactured for Dubai market is used in Indian market then they will block the software of that serial number and will not provide any update for that device since that X431 device is illegally imported.
#3: Warranty:
If you technician has bought original X431 OBD scanner but made for other country and using it in India then that device will not come under warranty. LAUNCH INDIA will not provide any warranty or guaranty for device since it is illegally imported and used in the Indian market.
#4: Service Support:
