What should I pay attention to when using and replacing the brake fluid?

1) When mineral oil is mixed in the brake fluid, replace the brake fluid completely. For example, when gasoline, diesel or engine oil are accidentally mixed into a brake system using synthetic brake fluid, the braking effect is likely to be reduced due to the incompatibility of the fluid.

2) Different types or brands of brake fluid must not be mixed. For brake systems with special requirements, a specific brand of brake fluid should be added. Because different types or brands of brake fluid have different formulas, mixing or injecting the wrong brand will cause the brake fluid quality index to fall, making it unable to meet the requirements of braking. Even those brands that have good miscibility and can be mixed or substituted may not be satisfactory in use, and it is best not to use it for a long time.

3) When water is mixed or absorbed in the brake fluid, or if impurities or deposits are found in the brake fluid, they must not be injected together. At this time, they should be replaced or carefully filtered, otherwise the brake pressure will be insufficient, and Affect the braking effect.

4) The vehicle normally travels 50,000 km or the brake fluid has been used continuously for more than 2 years. The brake fluid is likely to deteriorate due to long-term use. It should be replaced when the fluid is cloudy and thick.

5) For vehicles equipped with a brake fluid level alarm device, it should be observed at any time whether the alarm indicator light is flashing and the alarm sensor performance is good. When the brake fluid is insufficient, it should be added in time, and the stored brake fluid should be maintained between the calibrated minimum capacity scale and the maximum capacity scale.

6) When the vehicle is driving normally, if the brakes are light or heavy, the brake fluid should be replaced, and the brake system should be cleaned with alcohol before replacement.

7) When the vehicle deviates from braking, a comprehensive inspection of the braking system should be performed. If it is found that the individual bowls of the individual pumps have oversized, it indicates that there is a problem with the quality of the brake fluid. At this time, a good quality brake fluid should be re-selected and replaced.

8) The brake fluid should be stored in a sealed container. It should not be stored in an open or open air to prevent water from mixing or absorbing moisture. Otherwise, the boiling point of the brake fluid will drop, which will cause air resistance in the brake pipeline. The brake fluid is mostly chemical products, and should be kept away from fire sources to prevent fire.

9) When changing seasons, especially in winter, if you find that the brakes are weak and the braking effect is reduced, it may be that the brake fluid level is not suitable for winter weather. At this time, replace the new brake fluid with a low temperature viscosity.

10) After replacing the brake fluid, the air in the brake line should be released. The basic principle of air release is "from far to near, from top to bottom", one by one.
