When servicing a vehicle, there is usually a service called throttle cleaning. But what the hell is the throttle? Why clean it? Why is it dirty?
This is the throttle valve. The throttle valve controls the air intake of the engine. The current throttle valves are all electronic, and the cable is cancelled. Therefore, the stable idle speed is also controlled by the throttle valve. If it becomes dirty, the idle speed will be unstable and serious. Cold start is difficult, and the fault light will be on. Generally speaking, cleaning the throttle valve is simple, but there are also unreasonable designs that are more difficult to wash!
The main reason for the dirty throttle is the exhaust from the crankcase and the dirty air filter element. Generally speaking, when the air filter element is dirty, dust will enter, and oil sludge will be formed when it is attached to the oily place. There is also the exhaust gas from the crankcase. It also contains organic oil vapor, which increases the formation of carbon deposits!
The exhaust from the crankcase comes from the gap between the piston rings. The piston rings have gaps, because they are all wear-resistant, and there is a lower opening at both ends. Don’t underestimate this small gap. The engine operates at high frequency. More obviously, although there is an oil and gas separation device, some oil vapor will still enter, and it will slowly accumulate near the throttle!
Another part of the carbon deposit is caused by the reverse injection of the intake valve, but most of the carbon deposit of the intake valve is caused by the reverse injection. Give the owners a suggestion, use the original air filter, change once every 10,000 kilometers, clean once every 5,000 kilometers, and clean the throttle every 20,000 kilometers!
